The 21 Day Cleanse is about the strategic order and incorporation of phytonutrients (vegetable/plant based nutrients) with proteins and fat in a pattern of timing so that your body runs on its glycogen (true energy) stores versus stored fat which keeps your body in a catabolic state. You want to be in an anabolic and metabolic fat burning state.


This cleanse will prime your body to do so and run on its optimum performance without exceeding daily caloric consumption. I recommend this as the start to my training program(s) because it teaches discipline and it also helps to promote eating more raw forms of nutrition combined with the strategic timing to show you when you are "truly" hungry versus when you are just bored or "mindlessly eating" without utilizing portion control.


What this cleanse is NOT is a starvation diet. There is no cayenne pepper/syrup/ice cube diet as a part of this plan. You actually DO eat food. For the best results, you should limit your consumption of alcohol, coffee, and other stimulants, but that is left to your discretion.

When I began Bryen Pinkard's 21 Day Cleanse, I was only a couple pounds over the weight I wanted to be. I am lucky enough to have loads of friends and loved ones that regularly tell me I'm beautiful. So in my mind, I wanted to tone up, get healthy, and be a happier me! But when I decided to commit to this, I had NO IDEA that the results would be what they were. I've said before that I have an abnormal amount of self esteem, but now... FUGETABOUTIT! I'm elated with my results and my new body!

The first week of the cleanse was the most physically challenging for me. I was eating so much over and over that the gag reflex kicked in early and a few of those meals I was literally choking down. Not because they tasted bad, but because I had eaten them the day before and the day before. So when you go into Week 1, know this and be prepared physically to eat... and I mean a lot of chewing too! You'll know why when you purchase the Cleanse yourself.

I'd say Week 2 was the easiest week. I had all my energy and then some and was not so bored with food. Plus the results at the end of Week 2 had me REVVED UP! I could see my body taking a different shape.

Week 3 was a completely different type of challenge. Mentally, Week 3 is killer. DON'T MISTAKE WHAT I'M SAYING... it is totally doable! Remember, I'm a foodie! I love to eat and I love food! However, mentally you have to get yourself around a lot in Week 3. I can't give too much away about what I was eating, but suffice to say it was far less than what I normally eat. BUT... I wasn't hungry. That was the most baffling thing for me.

So how do I feel three weeks later? I feel happy, I feel healthy, I feel TERRIFIC! Seriously. My body feels, for lack of better word, cleansed. I actually feel healthier, my energy levels are high and my focus is much better. I'm thinking more clearly and I'm effin happy! So how's that for results?

I weighed in at the end of 21 days at 108 pounds. My body fat percentage came in at 20.3 and my body mass index at 20.5. When I started, I weighed 117 with a body fat percentage of 24.2 and a body mass index of 22.1. Let me do this math for you. That comes out to:
  • Weight loss: 9 pounds
  • Body fat loss: 3.9%
  • BMI reduction: 1.6

I have heard of "cleanse" diets before, and they seem more like starvation diets. What are your thoughts on that?

You will 100% absolutely EAT on this plan. The 21 Day Cleanse was built to make sure that people know EXACTLY what they are consuming and to be able to stay right at their target for daily caloric intake. You will eat not just because you are bored, but you will eat the appropriate amount for your age, height, weight, sex, and activity level.

What will I feel like during the 21 Day Cleanse?

Anytime that you are stripping your body away from unwanted materials, there will be a tendency to dip in low energy levels. This will be the case during the first couple days of the first week. Once your body starts adjusting to the reduced calories, as well as the strategic order of fruits, carbohydrates, fats, and/or vegetables, you should feel more energized. During the third week there is a tendency to be very irritable for eating the same thing every day, but changing each 7 days.


 


So, what are the meals like?

They are the exact same meal everyday per week. For example, Sunday - Friday you will eat the exact same thing every day until the following Sunday, where your diet will change. So basically, you get a new menu at the beginning of each week. We strongly recommend the use of a juicer or blender to prepare certain portions of the 21 Day Cleanse.

What if I start losing too much weight?

You have two choices: Either you can go ahead and stop with the 21 Day Cleanse, or you can change your daily energy requirement and add more calories based on the nutrition calculator link that comes with the plan.


 


I'm thirsty. How much water can I drink?

Drink as much as you'd like.

What about coffee?

Coffee is of course calories that you will need to incorporate into your plan. FOR THE BEST RESULTS... skip it.


 


I'm supposed to go out. What about alcohol?

FOR THE BEST RESULTS, pass on alcohol for the 21 days, or drink completely in moderation. I have told previous 21 Day Cleansers to try to limit their drinking to one night a week and to just have a couple of social drinks. Never drink to get drunk during the 21 days.

I have allergies. Can I still do the 21 Day Cleanse?
